Founded in 1967 and based in Huddersfield, the club plays in the Towergate Halifax Cricket League. Augustinians Cricket Club is part of the Huddersfield YMCA based at the Laund Hill complex in Salendine Nook, sharing excellent sports facilities with the rugby and football sections. We also have a thriving junior cricket section with five teams from Under 9s to Under 17s.
In 2007 we celebrated our 40th anniversary since being formed by staff and friends at St Augustine's RC School in Huddersfield. The school later merged with neighbouring St Gregory's School to become All Saints RC High School. For many years the club had a proud tradition of developing young players from the school and for becoming something of an old boys' team for generations of All Saints cricketers. Since moving to the Laund Hill site in the mid 1990s, the club has gone from strength to strength. We now attract a wide range of players of all ages, and we are looking forward to many more years of success, enjoyment and friendship.
